TAE KWON DO

Tae Kwon Do is a style of Martial Arts originally created in Korea more than 2000 years ago. It integrates kicking, striking, blocking and avoiding techniques. In recent years, the techniques of Tae Kwon Do have benefited from on-going scrutiny by Tae Kwon Do Masters and human movement experts.

Tae Kwon Do aims to unite the practitioner's mind and body into a single, concentrated force capable of swiftly overpowering an aggressor regardless of their size, age or strength. Tae Kwon Do is suitable for men, women and children and does not require any prior level of fitness or knowledge.

The practice of Tae Kwon Do improves flexibility and conditioning of the entire body; enhances concentration, discipline and self confidence; and promotes good character and ethical conduct.

ABOUT US

Dos Taekwondo was initially formed in the early 90s in Vienna, Austria where it still continues today. Our Australian club has now been operating for 3 yrs and going strong. We now have over 100 members, some of whom (both kids & adults) are currently in training for and competing in Sparring, Pattern & Breaking Tournaments. We hope to have a strong showing at tournaments throughout the year.

Instructor Serdar Guner (Sam) started training when he was 6 yrs old and has competed at International level in Tournaments worldwide. Most recently, Sam was a Senior Australian Representative from 1998-2002 & a Junior Austrian Representative from 1995-1997. Currently he holds a 4th Dan Black Belt and is a Registered Personal Trainer.

Instructor Prayer holds a Black Belt and a Diploma of Exercise Science.
